Start with Thriving

Getting started: $1,697, one time

Every membership begins with a basic setup, so we know your numbers before we advise on them. It covers:

  • Your books moved into QuickBooks Online
  • Payroll set up in Gusto, or accountant access to your current payroll
  • Every account set up on our side
  • A signed Form 8821 and a tax history review, the same review we run at the start of a resolution case
  • Two meetings, typically: one on what we found, one to lay out your plan

Your first month of membership is pro-rated from your start date, then you pay the flat monthly fee for your tier. Memberships are month to month. Work outside your membership is quoted separately before it begins. That includes closing prior-period books and tax returns for prior calendar years, which a new membership does not cover.

What a year with Thrive looks like

Every month

Books reconciled, platform payouts categorized, profit reported. You see where the money went without opening a spreadsheet.

Strategy calls

Thriving members meet with Aaron every quarter, and Founding members twice a year. We check salary, distributions, retirement contributions, and the estimate for the next payment. Adjustments happen now, not next April.

Year end

Final planning pass in November and December: equipment, retirement, charitable, and timing decisions made while they still change the outcome.

Filing season

Your 1040 and 1120-S prepared from books we already trust. No organizer scramble, 1099s tracked all year, and extensions only when they make sense.

Built for how online businesses earn

Course launches, memberships, affiliate payouts, sponsorships, and 1:1 consulting all hit the books differently. We know the platforms and how their fees and payout timing show up, so categorization is right the first time and your profit number is real.

Members get a documented reasonable compensation analysis each year, safe-harbor estimates managed for them, and a direct line to Aaron rather than a rotating team.

Advisory questions, answered

What does it cost to get started?
Every membership begins with a one-time onboarding fee of $1,697. It covers a basic setup: your books moved into QuickBooks Online; payroll set up in Gusto, or accountant access to your current payroll; every account set up on our side; a signed Form 8821 and a tax history review, the same review we run at the start of a resolution case; two meetings, typically: one on what we found, one to lay out your plan. Your first month of membership is then pro-rated from your start date, and after that you pay the flat monthly fee for your tier. Work outside your membership is quoted separately before it begins. That includes closing prior-period books and tax returns for prior calendar years, which a new membership does not cover.
Is there a contract?
No. Memberships are month to month.
Can I talk to Aaron before I join?
Yes. A discovery call with Aaron is $300. If you sign up within 5 days of the call, we credit it back.
Should I be an S-Corporation?
Usually once net profit is consistently above roughly $60K to $80K and you can run payroll. The savings come from splitting owner pay between reasonable salary and distributions. We model it with your actual numbers before recommending the election.
What counts as reasonable compensation for an S-Corp owner?
What you would pay someone else to do your job, supported by data such as salary surveys and your role mix. Setting it too low is the most common S-Corp audit issue. We document the basis for your salary each year.
How do estimated tax payments work in a membership?
We compute safe-harbor estimates each quarter from your live books and manage the payment schedule so each payment is planned in advance. Members pay in through an automated estimated payment platform.
Can I switch tiers as my business grows?
Yes. Most members move from Founding to Thriving when they elect S-Corp status or cross $240K in revenue. The change takes effect at the next monthly cycle.
